The song "Bruises" was included on the singer's debut album "Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent", which was released in may. It became the fastest-selling British debut album in eight years.

The song was originally released in 2017 as the lead single to the mini-album "Bloom". It reached number 11 on the UK charts.

Capaldi's biggest hit was "Someone You Loved", which topped the UK chart for seven consecutive weeks. In the US, it also became popular and reached the third position of the Billboard Hot 100.

Interestingly, it was first released in 2017, but the real popularity won only two years later.
